Super Fight League, the new kid on the international MMA block, announced a number of fights for its upcoming SFL 2 event.
Todd Duffee vs. Neil Grove, Paul Kelly vs. Gabe Ruediger and Alexander Shlemenko vs. Ikuhisa Minowa are all scheduled to take place on the organization’s April 7 event in Chandigarh, India.
Duffee (6-2) hasn’t fought since getting knocked out by Alistair Overeem in Dec. 2010. This will mark just his second fight since getting released from the UFC in Sept. 2010. Grove (11-5-1) was most recently defeated by Thiago Santos via first-round rear-naked choke in the semi-finals of the Bellator Season 5 heavyweight tournament.
This will mark Kelly’s (12-4) first fight since getting released from the UFC following a Feb. 2011 loss to Donald Cerrone at UFC 126. His opponent, Ruediger (17-8), just suffered his third straight loss at BAMMA Badbeat 5 on Friday night.
Shlemenko (44-7), the only fighter from this group who is coming off a win, has won his last seven fights in a row. He most notably won Bellator’s Season 5 middleweight tournament late last year. Meanwhile, “Minowaman” saw his record fall to 52-33-8 when he lost a unanimous decision to Kendall Grove a ProElite event in January.
SFL 2 will air live online at YouTube.com/SFL.
