Popular former PRIDE lightweight champion Takanori Gomi isn’t finished yet.

The “Fireball Kid” returns to action on April 26 at UFC 172 in Baltimore, where he’ll square off with Strikeforce mainstay Isaac Vallie-Flagg.

UFC.com first reported the bout on Tuesday night.

The 35-year old Gomi (34-9, 1 no-contest) last fought in March 2013 in Saitama, Japan, when he dropped a split decision to Diego Sanchez in a bout most observers felt Gomi won. Prior to that, he won back-to-back bouts over Mac Danzig and Eiji Mitsuoka.

Vallie-Flagg (14-4-1), a Jackson’s MMA fighter, has fought professionally since 2003. He’s 1-1 in the UFC, with his most recent bout a unanimous decision loss to Elias Silverio in January.

Originally, Vallie-Flagg was slated to meet Danny Castillo. According to the UFC.com report, Castillo will remain on the card against an opponent to be determined.
