Former UFC champions Miesha Tate and Jon Jones continue to go on a little back-and-forth on Twitter after a previous exchange of comments regarding Jones’ CSAC hearing.
Jon Jones’ PED episodes in the UFC have drawn frustration from observers. Most recently, former UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate expressed her disappointment towards Jones, who recently had his California fighting license revoked for a year, along with a $205,000 fine for testing positive for Turinabol at UFC 214 last July.
“I don’t want to hear his sob story,” Tate said of Jones in a recent edition of MMA on SiriusXM. “I felt sorry for the first, second time he kind of had me. But it’s like, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, I mean, come on, am I waiting for a fourth now? I just don’t — I’m over it.”
It did not take long for Jones to respond to Tate, whom he indirectly referred to as a “quitter”. Of course, these comments did not sit well with “Cupcake”, who then issued her reply.
@jonnybones u make things tougher 4 urself, I hope u can figure it out this time but I’m not holding my breath. Supported u plenty in the past & if ur implying I’m a quitter that’s pretty low. There’s a time when all of us have to stop & Happy I walked away with a clean slate https://t.co/uOuhVzPAG4

Jones responded to Tate shortly after, where he seemingly admitted that he was in the wrong.
@MieshaTate Never meet negativity with negativity, I shouldn’t have responded to you in the first place. You won

@JonnyBones I’m really not trying to be negative Jon, just honest. I think you’re a great fighter and as a person I wish you nothing but the best. Still feel let down one too many times. Hope you turn it around for yourself brother. https://t.co/u2ArQo1a7e

The former UFC light heavyweight champion has yet to undergo arbitration with USADA, where he is facing a possible four-year suspension.
