Top UFC women’s bantamweight contender Miesha Tate talks Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey.
Some wounds never heal. Miesha Tate, who will challenge Holly Holm for the UFC women’s bantamweight title at UFC 197, says she has no desire to ever make amends with Ronda Rousey but will gladly befriend “The Preacher’s Daughter”.
The soon to be two-time UFC title challenger spoke to TMZ on Friday.
“I really like her a lot, actually,” Tate said when asked what she thought of Holly Holm. “She’s awesome. She’s super fun to hang around, I can see us being friends outside of the Octagon.”
Rousey, who will host NBC’s Saturday Night Live tomorrow night, broke “Cupcake’s” arm in Strikeforce and refused to shake hands with Tate after submitting her at UFC 168. The 29-year-old will not be watching “Rowdy” on SNL and doesn’t believe she’ll ever be friends with her outside of the Octagon.
“Hell No,” Tate said when asked if she’d make friends with Ronda. “Definitely not. No way, and I have no desire for it to.”
Holly Holm vs. Miesha Tate will serve as the co-main event for UFC 197 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 5th.
