Team Meldonium Fires Back At Conor McCocaine

So I just watched the trailer for IT: Chapter Two and some old bag warns the grown-up girl from the first film that no one who dies in Derry ever really dies. I guess you could say the same thing about Twitter feuds, which have an uncanny way of springing back to life at the most inconvenient (and annoying) times.

Take for instance, the resuscitated beef between former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Conor McGregor, and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s squad from Team Dagestan, comprised of Mairbek Taisumov, Islam Makhachev, and Zubaira Tukhugov, just to name a few, who got dragged into the Irishman’s drama with “The Eagle” after the UFC 229 post-fight brawl in Las Vegas.

When it was announced that Taisumov and Co. might join Nurmagomedov at the UFC 241 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place on Sept. 7 in Abu Dhabi, McGregor used his Twitter account to lambaste “Team Meldonium” for its history of failed drug tests, a tweet that was later deleted (but preserved by way of screen shot here).

Now it’s Taisumov’s turn to make some noise, I guess.

McGregor fell to Nurmagomedov by way of fourth-round submission.

The chances of booking McGregor against anyone listed above are currently idling on the corner of Slim & None. Aside from the fact that it’s far too combustible to keep contained until fight night, the promotion can make more bucks at the box office with a name like Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.

Sorry, Andy.
