UFC 249 was a wild night of fights, featuring fast finishes, bloody stoppages, and some bookie-busting upsets from inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. Sadly, we lost the Ronaldo Souza vs. Uriah Hall bout to coronavirus, but the May 9 fight card soldiered on anyway.

Justin Gaethje was crowned interim lightweight champion and will move on to face reigning 155-pound kingpin Khabib Nurmagomedov at some point this summer, thanks to his destruction of top contender Tony Ferguson.

In addition, Henry Cejudo retained his bantamweight strap by putting down former 135-pound titleholder Dominick Cruz. Elsewhere on the card, Francis Ngannou continued his frightening run at heavyweight by steamrolling Jairzinho Rozenstruick.
