Diaz was right, someone needs to “man up.”

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) finally gave longtime lightweight lightning rod, Nate Diaz, his own video promo ahead of the UFC 241 pay-per-view (PPV) event, going down Sat., Aug. 17, 2019 inside Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Curiously, there’s no footage of him strangling Conor McGregor. I mean, it was only his most prolific win to date and one of the biggest upsets of the last few years, but I guess I’m just a soft-tissue typist who needs to mind his own business.

Considering the fight card is still more than two months away, the promotion must feel pretty confident he’ll actually show up. The wily Stockton slugger was previously signed to UFC 230 late last year, but decided he had better ways to spend his time after Dustin Poirier went down with injury.

Like crank out some more tequila shots in Cabo, perhaps.

On deck for Diaz (19-11) will be a welterweight clash against fellow 155-pound import and wearer of silly-ass suits, Anthony Pettis, the first time The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 5 champion will be seen since his UFC 202 loss to McGregor back in summer 2016.
