The MMA News recenly caught up with Canadian welterweight Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford for quick interview as he prepares for the biggest fight of his career against the veteran Karo “The Heat” Parysian.
The two are scheduled to meet at an upcoming MMA Live 1 event on May 19 at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario. Former UFC welterweight champ Carlos Newton is expected to fight on the card also.
The MMA News: “Your opponent Karo Parisyan is known as the “Judo King,” how has training gone in preparation for this fight?”
Ryan Ford: “Preparation has gone good for this fight been working with a lot of good guys who styles are similar to Karos and been working on my overall game.”
The MMA News: “ Parisyan’s crawling out of a deep hole and has that drive to come out and make his comeback, how do you plan on entering this fight?”
Ryan Ford: “I plan on entering this fight like it’s my biggest fight against the most skilled opponent I have faced in my career. I am looking to finish this fight not leave it for the judges.”
The MMA News: “How do you mentally prepare yourself before stepping into the cage?”
Ryan Ford: “Its a fight and something that I love to do and by me being focused and putting the work in day on and day out in the gym I am ready to go.”
The MMA News: “Parisyan put himself out there to over 10 Canadian fighters. What made you want this fight?”
Ryan Ford: “I am a fighter at blood I am always looking to challenge myself and fight top guys in my division. That’s what separates me from other fighters.”
The MMA News: “ Do you see yourself returning to MFC, and or are you signing one fight contracts right now?”
Ryan Ford: “Not at all. I’m am good where I’m at now with MMA LIVE and Aggression MMA.”
The MMA News: “There is a lot of controversy around Parisyan retiring if he loses this match, what are your thoughts?”
Ryan Ford: “I have no thoughts on that. My focus is on going in there putting on a good fight for the fans and ending it with a finish.”
The MMA News: “Do you have any words for Karo “The Heat” Parisyan?”
Ryan Ford: “I have No words I will do my talking with my fists when we get in the cage.”
