Press Release – TORONTO, August 10th 2012 – The Score Fighting Series (SFS) has announced two more fights for The Score Fighting Series event on August 25th at the Hamilton Place Theatre in Hamilton, Ontario.

In what is expected to be a battle of high octane strikers, Robert “The White Dragon” Thomas makes his pro debut against Hamilton product Jeff Sharkey (1-2). Thomas is part of the new generation of fighters that began their training in multiple disciplines from a very young age. His arrival has been highly anticipated by the Canadian MMA scene after seeing him win titles around the world in grappling, jiu-jitsu, kick-boxing and Muay Thai.

Robert “The White Dragon” Thomas

Just 19-years-old, “The White Dragon” compiled an incredibly impressive 38-7 amateur Muay Thai record and is a perfect 15-0 in grappling matches. Both fighters hail from respected camps with Thomas training under Kru Chris Kew and Jeff Harrison at MAS Muay Thai & BJJ while Sharkey works out at Kru Alin Halmagean’s House of Champions. Sharkey last competed professionally in June 2010 when he scored a TKO victory over Brandon Debono.

Jeff Sharkey

Frank Marques (2-0) from Mississauga, Ontario will battle Eric Montgomery (2-0) from Windsor, Ontario in a featherweight match-up where neither fighter has gone the distance so far in their professional career. Marques is a BJJ brown belt and has won both his fights via submission. He is currently honing his skills at Grant’s MMA Gym under striking coach Ryan Grant and alongside current UFC competitors Sean Pierson and Antonio Carvalho.

Frank Marques

Montgomery trains under Rino Belcastro at the Maximum Training Centre. He finished Jesse Seberg via TKO in just 29 seconds in his first professional bout and also holds a notable win over SFS veteran Randy Turner courtesy of a first round triangle choke.

Eric Montgomery
