Tonight is episode 7 of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Joanna vs. Team Claudia with coaches Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha. The show airs tonight on Fox Sports 1 at 10:00 p.m. ET.
Last week, Team Claudia pushed their record up to 5-0, leaving only 3 fighters left for Team Joanna to avoid the shutout. Scoring the win last time was Eric Spicely, who took a decision over Elias Urbina, though both men took a verbal lashing from Dana White. We also got the ongoing marital troubles of Abdel Medjedoub, plus some trademark TUF wackiness involving baby powder. Oh you silly fighters!
This week, Claudia #3 Amanda Cooper vs. Joanna #2 Jamie Moyle. Cooper is just 1-1 as a pro, with her last fight coming at Invicta 14 last September, where she was kind of brutalized in a loss to Aspen Ladd. She has a good armbar win to get in to the house. Moyle (3-1) holds a win over TUF teammate JJ Aldrich, and has fought her entire pro career in Invicta. She trains out of the very good Syndicate MMA. It certainly seems like Moyle should take this, but I’m not picking against Claudia’s brigade at this point.
