As previously reported, UFC light heavyweight and Blackzilian team member Thiago Silva was arrested Thursday evening after an incident at the Pablo Popovitch Mixed Martial Arts Academy in Oakland Park, Florida, where Silva allegedly threatened persons inside the school. He later reportedly barricaded himself in his home, but was apprehended, taken into custody and charged by the Broward County Sheriff’s department.
Those charges have now been posted online.
After his bond hearing Friday morning, Silva, 31, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of resisting an officer without violence.
He was previously charged with two counts of attempted felony murder, one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of resisting an officer without violence. However, the court did not find probable cause for the attempted felony murder charge.
As of the time of this writing, Silva is still in police custody and is being held without bond.
