Thiago Silva released again from the UFC

Thiago Silva was released from his UFC contract. Again.

The Brazilian light heavyweight, who was re-signed after all charges against him were dropped, was cut from the promotion once again on Friday after his ex-wife, Thaysa Kamiji, posted a series of videos on YouTube.

In those videos, Kamiji claims Silva is on drugs while carrying a gun.

Thiago Silva was released from his UFC contract on Feb. 7 due to his arrest by police in South Florida. The charges against Silva were dropped by the Broward County District Attorney’s office and Silva was re-signed to the UFC earlier this month. Based on new information received today in the form of video and audio evidence, Silva has been terminated from his UFC contract.

Silva was arrested on Feb. 6 following an armed standoff with members of the Broward County Sheriff’s Office at his residence. According to a police report, Kamiji claimed that Silva had previously held a revolver inside her mouth, then later threatened to shoot up Pablo Popovitch’s school before a standoff with a SWAT team ended with a taser being deployed on Silva “for officer safety reasons.”

UFC president Dana White, who said Silva would never fight in the UFC again when he first released him in February, decided to sign him again when all charges were dropped.

Silva (16-3, 2 NC) leaves the promotion after winning seven of his 12 bouts inside the Octagon, with two no-contests. In his last appearances, Silva defeated Matt Hamill and Rafael Cavalcante.

Kamiji, who now lives in Abu Dhabi with Popovitch, spoke to MMAFighting.com about UFC’s decision to release Silva again.

“I never lied about anything I’ve said since the beginning,” Kamiji said. “Justice was made.”

Charges against Silva were dropped when Kamiji left the United States, and she said the police already knew she was about to leave the country.

“They already knew I had a job offer in Abu Dhabi and that was an opportunity to restart my career with the man of my life, doing what I love,” she said. “You have no idea how much I love this place. My husband is here for me when I need. We’re very happy. Everybody knew about this job.”

Kamiji said she decided to release the videos after Silva called her a liar on “The MMA Hour.”

“I dropped (the restraining order) so I wouldn’t have to come back to trial and risk losing my job, so I ended up helping Thiago. But I was pissed off when he decided to open his mouth. He should be thanking me, but people never change,” she said.

Here’s the full transcript of the videos:

Thiago Silva: Why did you call the police, honey? I didn’t do anything. Why are you filming me?
Thiago Silva: Honey, why are you doing this? Tell me.
Thaysa Kamiji: Can you leave the kitchen? I’m making food. Get out of the house.
Thiago Silva: Why did you do this?
Thaysa Kamiji: Get out of the house. Get out of the house. I don’t want a junkie in my house.
Thaysa Kamiji: Thiago, stop looking at me like that. Give me the gun, please. I’m here.
Thiago Silva: So turn off that camera. I know you’re hiding someone upstairs. You think I’m a fool?
Thaysa Kamiji: (Hiding) who, Thiago?
Thiago Silva: I’m not an idiot. Honey, you’re putting this light in my face so I can’t see anything. Get this thing off of
me.
Thaysa Kamiji: No, Thiago. Because if I do, this is proof.
Thiago Silva: Proof of what? You’re not going to die. You’re lying. Someone’s here and will do something, I’m not na idiot.
Thaysa Kamiji: Thiago, one day you’ll kill me because of this addiction.
Thiago Silva: I won’t kill you, and you’re doing something inside (this house).
Thaysa Kamiji: Doing what, Thiago?
Thiago Silva: You called someone here, Thaysa. I know. I’m not an idiot.
Thaysa Kamiji: I didn’t call anyone here. Thiago, it’s you. I’m filming you.
Thiago Silva: Why are you doing this?
Thaysa Kamiji: So when you’re normal, you can see what you did. You grabbed a gun.
Thiago Silva: I didn’t do anything. Stop, Thaysa, stop lying.
Thaysa Kamiji: Lie? You just grabbed a gun with your hand.
Thiago Silva: I have it on my pocket. I didn’t do anything.
