“He’s punch drunk and has been hit too many times. I don’t think he’s going anywhere up in his career after that.”

Stipe Miocic is making efforts to bulk up in weight following his devastating knockout loss to Francis Ngannou, but Derrick Lewis thinks the former two-time UFC heavyweight champion might be done.

Lewis claims Miocic is too ‘punch drunk’ to reclaim the title despite having only been KO’d twice in the last three years.

“I think this might be it for Stipe,” Lewis told The Schmo in an interview on Wednesday (h/t Curtis Calhoun of Low Kick MMA). “He’s punch drunk and has been hit too many times. I don’t think he’s going anywhere up in his career after that.”

Miocic avenged his 2018 KO loss to Daniel Cormier at UFC 226 by beating ‘DC’ in back-to-back fights at UFC 241 and UFC 252, cementing himself as the UFC heavyweight GOAT. The 38-year-old UFC vet will now look to bulk up at least 20 pounds in a bid to recapture the heavyweight belt and avenge his loss to Ngannou, who is considered one of, if not the, most vicious knockout artists of all-time.

UFC president Dana White would like to see Miocic take on Jon Jones next while pushing Ngannou-Lewis for the title.
