The popularity of celebrity boxing events is increasing, and it seems the money is following fast.

Yes you read that right. Popular Internet personality Bryce Hall says he will receive $5 million for boxing a fellow Internet celebrity, and that’s without bonuses.

Hall boasts a massive 19 million followers on TikTok and 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube. He first gained popularity through now defunct apps Vine and Musical.ly. The 21-year-old is scheduled to fight Austin McBroom, a former NCAA basketball player and Internet personality, at the “TikTokers vs YouTubers” boxing card on June 5th.

The event seems to have a lot of backing behind it, with Hall claiming he’ll not only receive a massive $5 million for just stepping in the ring, but 4% of PPV sales as well.

“So, I’m getting 4% of pay-per-view sales, then $5 million as soon as I step in the ring and then a $1M knockout bonus,” Hall told NoJumper’s TikTok channel.

Celebrity boxing events have been on the rise ever since YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul fought in 2018. The fight was said to have sold 1.3 million PPV buys, making it possibly the highest grossing non-professional boxing match of all time.

Former UFC welterweight and ONE FC champion Ben Askren will step into the boxing ring this weekend to fight Internet celebrity Jake Paul. Despite his success in various MMA promotions, Askren predicts his fight with Paul will be the biggest payday of his career.
