Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight contender, Darren Till, wants to put himself in the 185-pound title chase by disposing of former division kingpin, Robert Whittaker, in the UFC 246 pay-per-view (PPV) co-main event on Jan. 18 in Las Vegas.
That’s sure to come as depressing news to the fans in London.
But if Till had to choose between an ESPN+ main event, or a PPV co-headliner with Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone atop the card, “The Gorilla” is going to take what is sure to be a much improved payday, as “Notorious” has already set multiple viewing records.
Whittaker has yet to respond.
With roughly a month-and-a-half to get this fight card assembled and ready for Jan. 18, the promotion will have to start filling up some of its open slots, including the co-main event. Unfortunately for “The Gorilla,” he’s more valuable to UFC ticket sales in London.
I guess we’ll find out sooner, rather than later.
