Nick Diaz hasn’t officially announced his mixed marital arts (MMA) comeback just yet, but after pictures of him looking in fight shape surfaced (see them here), rumor’s about a possible return to combat sports was all the buzz.
But if the Stockton slugger is serious about putting the gloves on again, Darren Till wants to be the one to welcome him back to the Octagon. “The Gorilla” posted the challenge on Twitter, saying that other than Middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, he’s the best option for Nick.
” If @nickdiaz209 wants to come back & scrap, who’s the biggest star, fight & best fight for him outside the Middleweight champ.? Fucking me that’s who,” wrote Till.
There’s only one problem, it seems Diaz is keeping his eye on the Welterweight division and the upcoming fights in the weight class including Tyron Woodley vs Colby Covington. That being said, Till did start off his career at 170 pounds, so I’m sure making the cut down won’t be an issue for him.
For now, “The Gorilla” will stay at 185 pounds to face Jack Hermansson at a “Fight Night” event on Dec. 5, 2020. As for Diaz, now that he’s back to looking like a lean, mean fighting machine, I’m sure Till won’t be the first man throwing his name in the hat in an effort to land the fight.
Let’s hear it, Maniacs, does Diaz vs Till do anything for you?
