Till Gives Zero F—ks About Covington, He Just Wants To Smash Woodley

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) wanted to book Colby Covington vs. Tyron Woodley for the upcoming UFC 228 pay-per-view (PPV) event in September, unifying the division titles after “Chaos” captured the interim crown by turning away Rafael dos Anjos back in June.

Unfortunately for Covington, lingering nasal issues forced him to decline, so the promotion went down the list and landed on Darren Till, the next available candidate. That decision was met with criticism, but don’t expect “The Gorilla” to be shedding any tears.

“I don’t give a fuck about any of that shit,” Till told The Ariel Helwani Show (via BJPenn.com). “I just want to go in there on the eighth of September and prove why I’m the best fighter alive right now. Right now, there’s not a man in that division who can fucking beat me. There’s just not a man. And it’s certainly not Woodley.”

Till came under fire for missing weight — badly — ahead of his UFC Liverpool win over Stephen Thompson, a performance that even had “The Gorilla” telling matchmakers to give the next welterweight title shot to “Wonderboy.”

Since Thompson and Woodley spent 10 rounds boring us in consecutive title fights, that’s not going to happen anytime soon, so Till gets the call and has a chance to be the first fighter to beat Woodley since Rory MacDonald decisioned him at UFC 174.
