Darren Till thinks he would of made easy work of Marvin Vettori at UFC Vegas 23.
Darren Till has criticised Marvin Vettori’s performance following his unanimous decision win against Kevin Holland at UFC Vegas 23.
Vettori grinded out Holland scoring 11 takedowns in the fight, a record in the UFC’s middleweight division. It wasn’t the most exciting fight by any means, and this drew the attention of Vettori’s original opponent Darren Till.
As for marv… sorry ork.
It wasn’t the prettiest win but a wins a win and it means so much to him you can see.
That fight told me he knew he couldn’t strike with me so he was going to try take me down
Even if he were to succeed in takedowns he wouldn’t of been able to keep me— D (@darrentill2) April 11, 2021
“As for Marv… sorry ‘ork.’ It wasn’t the prettiest win but a win’s a win and it means so much to him you can see,” Till wrote. “That fight told me he knew he couldn’t strike with me so he was going to try take me down. Even if he were to succeed in takedowns he wouldn’t have been able to keep me there.”
Till was forced to withdraw from the fight with “The Italian Dream” after breaking his collarbone, which prompted Holland to fill in on nine days notice.
“I would have hurt this man for five rounds on the feet,” Till continued. “But hey who the f*ck am I to talk? I pulled out of the fight so every right I have goes out the window with that. Whatever happens for Marvin next, good luck I’m sure we’ll meet soon. I’ve got a fake injury to recover from and repair. See you all soon. All very soon.”
Although he was frustrated with his performance, Vettori called for a title fight against current UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya next.
