Bellator 131 headliners Tito Ortiz and Stephan Bonnar recently passed random urine drug tests administered by the California State Athletic Commission, CSAC executive director Andy Foster confirmed to MMAFighting.com.
According to Foster, Bonnar has passed two random urine tests and Oritz one, leading up to their Nov. 15 fight in San Diego.
This is especially significant for Bonnar, who has failed two drug tests for steroids throughout his career. The UFC Hall of Famer is coming out of retirement to fight his rival Ortiz in what will be his Bellator debut and his first fight in over two years. Ortiz snapped a three-fight losing streak by submitting Alexander Shlemenko in his Bellator debut last May.
Ortiz vs. Bonnar will serve as the main event of Bellator 131 on Saturday night, which will air live on Spike TV.
