MMA cartoon star, Tommy Toehold breaks down UFC Fight Night 88
Later this evening, fight fans will be treated to the 88th UFC Fight Night card. It’s a very solid offering of lighter weight class talent with a few fights that absolutely have title eliminator implications. The Fight Pass prelims will feature a firecracker of a match-up between Aljamain Sterling and Bryan Caraway, and the card progresses with more intriguing bouts throughout. The main event promises to be a barn-burner between two talented strikers in Thomas Almeida and Cody Garbrandt.
When events this good are happening, they deserve lots of attention, and with that notion in mind, Bloody Elbow content partner, Tommy Toehold is lending his gift for gab to a top to bottom breakdown of the card. Best thing about it? It’s a super condensed 5 minutes and 38 seconds.
Here’s a little quote from the video to get you started:
Next up we’ve got Chris Camozzi vs Vitor Miranda. This is another fight much like Aljo vs Caraway that you really can’t sleep on the veteran fighter. Camozzi may only be 29 but he’s amassed 33 fights, 23 wins, and of those wins 14 finishes. He’s gone up against very high level talent including Jacare Souza twice. That’s like staring in the face of Cthulhu and realizing human existence is meaningless and not giving a fuck about it. This dude is not going to be intimidated, and 3 of his last 4 UFC wins come via 1st round stoppage. Miranda is a KO artist, but has started his UFC career relatively late at 35 years of age, and has not fought the same level of fighter as Camozzi. Oh, and did I mention Camozzi has never been knocked out? It’s a trap! I’m going with Camozzi via decision.
