Triller’s parent company Proxima Media promises a hefty donation if the UFC OKs the Georges St-Pierre vs. Oscar De La Hoya.

UFC two-division champion Georges St-Pierre was apparently being set up for a boxing match against “The Golden Boy” Oscar De La Hoya. But because the UFC and Dana White overruled the said booking, the matchup is now looking like a missed opportunity for both fighters.

But as far as the promoters outside of the UFC are concerned, the bout isn’t doomed yet. Triller’s parent company Proxima Media is willing to put in a $1 million charity donation if the MMA promotion giant gives its OK.

Proxima Media CEO Ryan Kavanaugh recently spoke to ESPN, saying he’s willing to shell out $250,000 out of his own pocket. The remaining $750,000, he says, will come from several other backers.

“We’re trying to hope we can appeal to Dana’s charitable side,” Kavanaugh said. “I’ve offered $250,000 and I’ve asked others to join in. So, it’s now up to a million dollars to a charity of Dana’s choice — to allow GSP to go fight for money in boxing, not UFC. When [White] knows [St-Pierre] will never fight again for the UFC.”

St-Pierre also stated recently that the money he would’ve gotten would go to a good cause.

For his part, White already addressed the situation during Saturday’s UFC 262 post-fight presser.

“Go, f—ng go away. Go do whatever you’re doing. Stop texting me, stop calling me, and stop f—ng asking the media to ask me things. Beat it. Get lost.”
