Welterweight fighter, and former “The Ultimate Fighter” season eleven finalist, ‘Savage’ Kris McCray (7-3) has reportedly signed with the Bellator Fighting Championships promotion.
News of the signing was confirmed by MMAWeekly.com on Thursday night, after learning from sources close to McCray himself.
‘Savage’ debuted with the UFC in June 2010, losing to Court McGee in the finale of the eleventh season of TUF tapping out to a rear-naked choke in the second round. He would then go on to lose another two in the Octagon, suffering a kneebar submission defeat to Carlos Rocha at UFC 122 in McCray’s welterweight debut and finally a split decision loss to John Hathaway at UFN 24.
After the third loss, McCray was released by the UFC. He has since gone on to win two bouts with various promotions this past November.
No news on exactly when McCray would debut with Bellator, except sometime in April, or who he might face was provided in the report.
