Brazilian welterweight Dhiego Lima will make his return to the Octagon against Polish prospect Pawel Pawlak at the UFC Fight Night 56 card in Uberlandia, Brazil, on Nov. 8. The promotion officially announced the welterweight match-up on Wednesday.
Lima (9-3), younger brother of Bellator 170-pound champion Douglas Lima, suffered a first-round knockout loss in a middleweight bout against Eddie Gordon at the TUF 19 Finale event in July. On the reality show, Lima defeated Adam Stroup (unanimous decision) and Tim Williams (submission).
Pawlak (10-1) looks to get back on track after suffering his first professional loss in his Octagon debut in May, losing to Peter Sobotta via unanimous decision at the UFC Fight Night 41 card in Germany. Prior to that bout, Pawlak went 10-0 with nine stoppage victories.
Headlined by Mauricio Rua vs. Jimi Manuwa, UFN 56 takes place at Uberlandia’s Tancredo Neves Gymnasium. The other match-ups already official for the card are Rafael Cavalcante vs. Ovince Saint Preux, John Lineker vs. Ian McCall and Thomas Almeida vs. Tim Gorman.
