“Wonderboy” and “The Karate Hottie” could be out for a bit.

Stephen Thompson and Michelle Waterson were both handed six-month medical suspensions by doctors following The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale on Sunday night in Las Vegas, according to information released to MMAFighting.com from the Nevada Athletic Commission.

Thompson, who beat Jake Ellenberger in the main event with a spinning kick knockout, needs an x-ray on his right heel (the one that landed on Ellenberger’s head) and clearance from a doctor or he’ll be unable to fight until Jan. 12, 2016.

Waterson might have a broken right hand and needs x-rays and doctor clearance unless she can’t compete again until Jan. 12, 2016. Waterson defeated Angela Magana via third-round submission at the TUF Finale.

At the minimum, neither of them can have contact in training until Aug. 3, nor a fight until after Aug. 12.

Kamaru Usman, who won the Blackzilians the TUF 21 title, needs a left rib cage x-ray to rule out a fracture and his left knee evaluated. If either are positive, he can’t fight until Jan. 12, unless cleared by a doctor. His minimum suspension is also Aug. 12 without contact until Aug. 3.
