Good news, North American MMA fans, you too can watch the complete series of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil.
UFC officials announced that all 13 episodes of TUF: Brazil will air Sunday nights on TUF.tv at midnight ET / 9 a.m. PT, and the premiere episode will air this Sunday, March 25. The first-ever international edition of The Ultimate Fighter will feature Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva coaching middleweights and featherweights.
Unlike the current American edition of The Ultimate Fighter currently airing on FX in North America, TUF: Brazil won’t be live, as the entire season, except for the finals, has already been taped. The finals are expected to take place at the UFC’s return to Brazil on either June 16 or June 23 on the undercard of Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen II. Wanderlei Silva vs. Vitor Belfort II will also take place on the card.
The premiere episode of TUF: Brazil will feature 32 fighters vying for the chance to make it on the show. The 16 winners (eight 145ers and eight 185ers) will then enter the TUF house for a chance to win a UFC contract.
The show will air in Brazil on Sunday nights as well, so there won’t be much of a delay between its Brazilian TV premiere and when its premierier online for US and Canadian fans.
The UFC also announced that Brazilian greats Anderson Silva, Junior dos Santos, Jose Aldo, Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua all make appearances on the show.
