Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) today announced the return of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) on ESPN, featuring combatants in the men’s featherweight (145 pounds) and middleweight (185 pounds) divisions. Remote casting is now open through Jan. 19 with applications available for download here.
Team coaches for TUF 32 will be announced at a later date.
The most recent season of TUF featured head coaches Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler, who were supposed to fight at the end of the season; however, drug-testing issues on the Irishman’s side brought negotiations to a screeching halt. “Iron” seems content to remain inactive until that fight happens.
“Chandler vs. Conor is happening,” Chandler told TMZ Sports. “I don’t have a date or a location or a UFC number for you, but it’s definitely going to happen next year. So, we’re going to enjoy the holidays and we’re going to stay in shape, and then we go back into training camp in January and I will train my tail off until that fight happens.”
