Former UFC double champion Conor McGregor praises his old rival Jose Aldo for a sucessful weigh-in ahead of UFC 245.
It’s official, former UFC featherweight champion successfully made it to bantamweight. After a long period of concern for his health from fans and journalists in the mixed martial arts world, the 33-year-old Brazilian stepped on the scale this Friday and hit 136 pounds, making his fight against Marlon Moraes official for UFC 245.
Much to the relieve of many pundits, TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter shared, on Twitter, the moment Aldo made weight on video.

Among those who stay tuned, to see if Aldo could make it all the way down to bantamweight, was the man who took the featherweight belt away from him in only 13 seconds — back in December 2015; Conor McGregor.
Keeping up with his latest trend of being nice to longtime rival Aldo on Twitter, McGregor — who was no stranger to strenuous weight-cuts back when he used to perform at featherweight — praised Aldo for a sucessful weigh-in.

Now that both Aldo and Moraes have made weight, their bout is official for UFC 245, on December 14, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Aldo will take the opportunity to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss suffered to Alexander Volkanovski earlier this year. The 33-year-old’s last win was in February, a TKO victory over Renato Moicano.
UFC 245 is expected to feature three title fights: a welterweight battle between champion Kamaru Usman and former interim champion Colby Covington, a featherweight title bout between title holder Max Holloway and top contender Alexander Volkanovski, and a women’s bantamweight title fight between ‘double champ’ Amanda Nunes and former featherweight title holder Germaine de Randamie.
