“Shut your bitch a** up before I don’t sign to fight you bum a**.”

Leon Edwards seems to have touched a nerve.

Ahead of their all-but-confirmed welterweight bout at UFC London next year, ‘Rocky’ joked that Tyron Woodley could always fall back on his rap career after he inevitably loses to him in the UFC Fight Night 171 main event.

Well, that joke didn’t go down too well with Woodley, as the former UFC welterweight champ unloaded on Edwards with the following expletive-laden comment. (h/t Abhinav Kini of Low Kick MMA).

“Shut your bitch a** up before I don’t sign to fight you bum a**,” Woodley replied. “Nobody knows you, nobody cares, you a b*tch and ate a three piece and that’s your biggest claim to fame! @leon_edwardsmma quit clout chasing and trying to add to your 50k followers. You’re embarrassing! Stop trying to talk sh*t you’re garbage at it just like your bum a** career. I’ve made more money in music than you’ve made in your entire career. Laugh at that you lil b*tch!”

Woodley, 37, hasn’t fought since he lost the welterweight title to Kamaru Usman earlier this year at UFC 235. Edwards, on the other hand, has fought twice in 2019, beating Gunnar Nelson and Rafael dos Anjos in back-to-back fights to cement his position in the top-five UFC welterweight rankings.

UFC Fight Night 171, which is expected to feature Woodley vs. Edwards in the main event, takes place next year, March 21 at the O2 Arena in London, England.
