Kickboxer Tyrone Spong’s much-anticipated second MMA fight will take place at World Series of Fighting 3 later this year.
Spong (1-0), who was victorious in his MMA debut in November, will meet Angel DeAnda (11-2) on June 14 in Las Vegas, MMAFighting.com confirmed with WSOF president Ray Sefo.
The bout will serve as the card’s co-main event. Jon Fitch vs. Josh Burkman will be the WSOF 3 main event.
The 27-year-old Spong improved his kickboxing record to 69-6-1 (1 no contest) last month when he defeated Remy Bonjasky at Glory 5. At WSOF 1 late last year, the Blackzilian member knocked out Travis Bartlett in his MMA debut.
DeAnda has won his last four fights in a row. His most recent win came against veteran Anthony Ruiz in November.
A Las Vegas venue for WSOF 3, which will air live on NBC Sports Network, has yet to be announced.
