UFC heavyweight smashing machine Francis Ngannou had the combat sports world abuzz last Sat. night with his UFC 249 snuff film, also starring the mummified remains of Jairzinho Rozenstruick.
I guess that inspired Mike Tyson to release yet another Instagram sparring video to remind fight fans that “Iron” still hits like steel, thanks to the terrifying footage embedded above. I know he’s just peddling his latest sponsor, but still … that shit is both fast and furious.
Tyson, 53, has been flirting with promoters in the world of bare-knuckle boxing at a time when both Evander Holyfield and Shannon Briggs — two heavyweight pugilists from the Tyson era — announced comebacks of their own.
It’s hard to say how serious any of them are at this juncture and until we see an actual contract it’s just hype. I don’t mind, considering how dull the “sweet science” has become over the last few years.
So who do you think hits harder … Ngannou or Tyson?
