Mike Tyson fought Roy Jones Jr. to a draw in their exhibition bout last weekend and now all signs point to an Evander Holyfield trilogy in 2021.
Who will be the next fighter to challenge Mike Tyson?
The former heavyweight boxing champion recently proved he can generate pay-per-view (PPV) buys — and not keel over in the process — which is why pugilists are coming out of the woodwork to challenge the ex-Nintendo headliner for his second exhibition match.
The number crunchers over at MyBookie.ag have released the betting lines for potential opponents and not surprisingly, Evander Holyfield is favored at -150. The next closest combatant is Lennox Lewis at +300, followed by Riddick Bowe (+500) and Shannon Briggs (+800).
If and when Tyson and Holyfield complete their trilogy, “Iron” will enter their third (and hopefully final) contest as the -325 favorite. “Real Deal” is currently the +250 underdog, despite holding two previous wins over his ear-chomping foe.
Probably because Holyfield turned 58 last month, which is only four years older than Tyson, but only two years away from 60. Perhaps the former cruiserweight should have a warm-up fight of his own before taking on Tyson.
