The baddest man on the planet still knows how to maximize his media presence ahead of an exhibition fight with Roy Jones Jr.
If Mike Tyson is going to do something, he’s going to get all of the attention possible for it. Even if it’s something as inane as signing a contract.
The former heavyweight champion of the world recently signed on to make a return to the ring, facing off with fellow legend Roy Jones Jr. in an eight-round exhibition match on September 12th. The baddest man on the planet decided to sign the contract over a Zoom call, which TMZ caught some footage of – while Tyson was smoking a joint.
The 54-year-old Tyson (50-6, 2 NC, 44 KOs) hasn’t stepped into a boxing ring competitively since 2005, when he was stopped by Kevin McBride. He has participated in a number of side projects since his retirement from boxing, appearing in many movies and other forms of entertainment. Most recently he showed up again in the pro wrestling world on AEW’s Dynamite show next to MMA fighters Vitor Belfort, Rashad Evans, and Henry Cejudo, to challenge Chris Jericho and his Inner Circle stable.
