In what should be an exciting and competitive Lightweight bout, British Ultimate Fighter alum Andre Winner will square off with dynamic German striker Dennis Siver in a fight with knockout of the night potential. Winner is a skilled and powerful technical boxer, while Siver mixed very unorthodox but effective striking with very good submissions, so this is a competitive bout and an interesting stylistic matchup.
Andre Winner, who made it to the Ultimate Fighter finals before being easily beaten by Ross Pearson, is a very skilled technical boxer with great handspeed and effective counter-punching. He doesn’t have much of a ground game, preferring to stand and trade shots, but that shouldn’t matter much as Siver will likely be more than happy to oblige him.
Siver, a very unorthodox but dangerous striker, actually begin his career as a more grappling-oriented fighter. While he still has very effective submissions, he seems more comfortable nowadays standing and trading shots and utilizing his very unpredictable striking to win fights.
This will probably be a standup fight primarily, and I give the edge to Siver. Winner is a very technical striker and counter-puncher, but Siver has superior cardio and power and will give Winner looks he is not prepared for at all. Expect Siver to outstrike Winner handily on his way to a unanimous decision.
Prediction: Dennis Siver via Unanimous Decision.
