Brazilian knockout artist Junior Dos Santos spent nearly two months coaching some of the sport’s most promising MMA fighters during his tenure as a head coach on this season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
Initially, Dos Santos wasn’t slated for a head-coaching slot on “TUF 13,” but heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez’s shoulder surgery placed their bout on hold.
However, with a desire to remain active, Dos Santos made it known to UFC officials he didn’t want to sit idle.
