TORONTO – Mark Hominick’s emotional homecoming – his first since the passing of his longtime trainer and friend Shawn Tompkins – ended in disaster.
Noticeably amped off the energy of a boisterous pro-Hominick crowd, the Canadian ate a quick right hand from Chan Sung Jung, who posted a stunning TKO stoppage in a mere seven seconds.
The featherweight fight took place at UFC 140 at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. It kicked off the night’s pay-per-view main card following prelims on Facebook and ION Television.
