Thanks to our partners at XFINITY, we’ll be providing exclusive UFC fight previews for the biggest UFC events in 2012.
UFC 147 takes place Saturday night from Brazil, and it will air live on pay-per-view. It’s one of the most interesting UFC shows of the year because it features a card largely made up of TUF Brazil fights, which was only available online in the United States leading up to the card and just started airing from its beginning on FUEL TV a couple of weeks ago.
The headlining act is a sequel of UFC 99’s main event, as Wanderlei Silva will meet Rich Franklin in a rematch of a fight won by Franklin via unanimous decision in June 2009. In the co-main event, heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Mike Russow will tangle for a chance to enter the top-five big man conversation.
Watch below as MMAFighting.com’s Mike Chiappetta, Ben Fowlkes and I break down the big fights on the card, the challenges of selling a PPV like this to a North American audience, and much more.
