The UFC 148 fight card will be headlined by Anderson Silva, who will defend his middleweight title against Chael Sonnen for the second time on Saturday, July 7 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
Silva last faced Sonnen on Aug. 7, 2010 at UFC 117. The Brazilian fighter, who has made nine consecutive title defenses, defeated Sonnen with a triangle armbar at the 3:10 mark in the fifth round. In the co-main event, UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz will face Forrest Griffin for the third time.
