LAS VEGAS – Right out of the chute, it looked like a replay of UFC 117.
Chael Sonnen came forward immediately and took UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva down just six seconds into their middleweight title fight and dominated him in the first round. But in the second, Silva put together some takedown defense – and that led to a TKO win over his heated rival.
The title fight headlined Saturday’s UFC 148 pay-per-view event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
