CALGARY – Saturday night’s UFC 149 pay-per-view event drew an announced attendance of 16,089 and a live gate of $4.1 million – a new live gate record for the venue.
UFC president Dana White announced the figures at the night’s post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie.com attended.
UFC 149 took place at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary and was the promotion’s first visit to Canada’s fourth largest city. The card featured a main event interim bantamweight title fight between Renan Barao and Urijah Faber, which Barao won by five-round unanimous decision.
