CALGARY – Hector Lombard was once the best middleweight not to signed to the UFC.
But following a split-decision defeat to Tim Boetsch in his promotional debut, the former Bellator champion – for now -is just another 185-pounder who’s clearly not ready for middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
The middleweight bout served as the co-main event of Saturday’s UFC 149 event at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook.
