The Nevada Athletic Commission will not be punishing Conor McGregor or Nate Diaz for their behaviour at the UFC 196 press conference yesterday.

Things got a little heated between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz at the UFC 196 pre-fight press conference yesterday. So heated, in fact, that a brawl almost broke out between the two fight camps.

“The Notorious” punched Diaz’ hand from his face during the staredown and members of Cesar Gracie Jiu Jitsu and SBG Ireland immediately stormed the stage. “Skrap Pack” members Nick Diaz and Jake Shields joined Nate while Artem Lobov and Ido Portal supported McGregor.

Many fans weren’t happy with the Irishman’s conduct at the press conference and top UFC lightweight contender Eddie Alvarez suggested that he should be fined by the Nevada Athletic Commission.

The NAC have reviewed the incident and will not be punishing McGregor or Diaz, as reported by MMA Fighting earlier today. “UFC president Dana White handled the situation,” NAC executive director Bob Bennett said.

McGregor made light of the situation by bragging about breaking Diaz’ hand on FOX Sports yesterday, although the Stockton product says he’s not injured.

McGregor and Diaz will finally lock horns in a welterweight fight at UFC 196 tomorrow night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
