Nate Diaz won his version of the NFL’s Super Bowl when he stunned and submitted Conor McGregor in the UFC 196 pay-per-view (PPV) main event last Saturday (March 5, 2016) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Fans can get now a backstage, behind-the-scenes look at the joy and disappointment behind the teams of Diaz and McGregor. UFC released its “Thrill and Agony” preview video featuring the stars of “McGregor vs Diaz,” including co-main event participants Holly Holm and Miesha Tate.
The PPV has a chance of being the mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion’s most profitable event in history, el presidente Dana White said in the post-fight press conference (replay here). Diaz, a large underdog, rallied from a porous first round to take the cake and money, stopping “Notorious” in thunderous fashion.
Elsewhere, co-headliners Holm and Tate put forth an exciting scrap, which was ultimately taken by “Cupcake” after she choked out “The Preacher’s Daughter” in the final frame.
Sadly, the above video isn’t the complete “Thrill and Agony” production, but only a preview. No, for that you’ll need to fork over more money to UFC for a subscription to Fight Pass.
