Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently released episode one of its “Embedded” pre-fight video blogs for the upcoming UFC 197: “Jones vs. Sain Preux” pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place this Saturday night (April 23, 2016) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
From the official YouTube description:
“On Episode 1 of UFC 197 Embedded, four athletes across the country prepare for their upcoming championship bouts. Light Heavyweights Jon Jones and Ovince Saint Preux push hard as their interim championship bout nears; while Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and undefeated challenger Henry Cejudo both brace for their biggest challenge to date.”
Yep, it’s fight week! And even though 205-pound champion Daniel Cormier was injured (or just “hurt”) and forced off the card, Jones and short-notice replacement, Preux, will battle for the interim division crown in the PPV main event of the evening.
Let’s hope it is, indeed, “sensational.”
MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 197 fight card on fight night, starting with the Fight Pass “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, and then the remaining undercard balance on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET.
