Now that UFC Fight Night 89 — which went down last night (Sat., June 18, 2016) in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada — is in the books (full results here), it’s time to look ahead to the promotion’s next pay-per-view (PPV) event.
And its the BIGGEST event of the year!
UFC 200 is all set to go down from the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 9, 2016 in what is sure to be a can’t-miss event that will be headlined by a much-anticipated championship rematch, as Daniel Cormier will defend his Light Heavyweight strap against Jon Jones in the headlining act. Also, Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo will run it back one more time for the interim Featherweight title.
Also, Miesha Tate will attempt to defend her women’s Bantamweight strap for the first time against the ever-gritty Amanda Nunes. Plus, former UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will throw heavy leather against Travis Browne.
However, a fight that’s been stealing all the headlines, is the return of Brock Lesnar, as he has been pegged to face off against Mark Hunt. Given his star power, it’s no surprise to see UFC roll out a promo video of the event focusing on “The Beast Incarnate,” which, ironically enough, is promoted as a WWE superstar instead of the former UFC champion.
Expect for more promo videos to be dished out as the event draws nearer, until then, to see the most up-to-date UFC 200 fight card click here.
