Rose Namajunas has been one of the most dominant woman fighters in the sport right now and is arguably the best fighter in the strawweight division in the world. Incredibly, she has achieved all this and is only 24 years old. The future looks bright for Namajunas who has climbed ladders to the top during her brief MMA career. One thing that really sets her a class apart from other fighters is her striking game which is in a league of its own. She has fine – tuned her striking and all other aspects of her fighting over the recent past and has transformed a really top shelf fighter.
Namajunas is blessed with timing and reach which she uses together to deliver tactically flawless blows right at the very edge of her reach. Furthermore, she has also vastly improved her grappling which was already highly impressive during her younger fighting days. Namajunas is also multi disciplined and holds a black belt in karate and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and being well versed with techniques from these disciplines means that she is especially lethal when the fight gets close to the edge and she can get her opponent on the cage and to the mat.
On the other hand, the Polish Karolina Kowalkiewicz has a decade of experience under her belt and is fluent in both Krav Maga and Muay Thai. The polish fighter is strong and agile which makes landing a hit on her all the more difficult.
It is going to be an interesting matchup which we have to concede is very difficult to call of predict, but if we HAD to pick a winner, we would go with Rose Namajunas.
