UFC 206: Holloway vs. Pettis previews, predictions, coverage, more

Check out Bloody Elbow’s pre-fight coverage for the Saturday, December 10th UFC 206 PPV event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, headlined by an interim featherweight title fight between Max Holloway and Anthony Pettis.

The UFC’s penultimate PPV of 2016 has experienced quite a few changes. Daniel Cormier isn’t fighting Anthony Johnson for the LHW belt, so the co-main event between Max Holloway vs. Anthony Pettis is now the new headliner. But wait, there’s more! This is now for the interim featherweight title, following the UFC’s decision to strip Conor McGregor of his belt and awarding it to Jose Aldo.

As for other notable bouts on this Saturday, December 10th card in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Donald Cerrone will fight Matt Brown in the co-main event. This came about when Cerrone’s UFC 205 bout vs. Kelvin Gastelum was scrapped due to a failure by Gastelum to make weight. Gastelum is now on the card, replacing Rashad Evans (who was unable to get licensed by Ontario’s Athletic Commission) against Tim Kennedy in a middleweight matchup. Knockout artist Doo Ho Choi wanted to fight Cub Swanson, and he will be fighting him on Saturday night.

The feature FS1 prelim bout is between light heavyweights Nikita Krylov and Misha Cirkunov. Your feature Fight Pass prelim sees Lando Vannata take on Canadian veteran John Makdessi.
