UFC 206 video promo for ‘Cormier vs. Johnson 2’ PPV event on Dec. 10 in Toronto

Now that Fight Night 99 and UFC Fight Night 100 are in the books — full results here and here — it’s time to look ahead to Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) next pay-per-view (PPV) event.

And it’s going to be a good one.

The promotion is all set to return to Canada on Dec. 10, 2016, as it invades Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario on Dec. 10, 2016 with a Light Heavyweight championship rematch at division champion Daniel Cormier takes on Anthony Johnson once again in what will be “DC’s” second title defense.

Cormier initially won the vacant strap in 2015 by submitting “Rumble” in the third round of their UFC 187 title fight (see it again here). Both men have gone on to find success after their initial encounter, which has brought them face-to-face once again.

This also assisted in their rematch going down, too.

Also on the card, Rashad Evans will make his Middleweight debut (finally) as he takes on former Jackson-Winklejohn stablemate, Tim Kennedy, in the co-main event of the evening.

Plus, former Lightweight champion Anthony Pettis continues his assault on the Featherweight division as he takes on the streaking max Holloway in what could be a show-stealing bout, while Donald Cerrone battles Matt Brown.
