With Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum now off, here’s the new bout order and updated fight card for UFC 207: Nunes vs. Rousey on Friday, December 30th.
UFC 207 has certainly gone through some changes over the past several days. Jessica Andrade was pulled from the event after Maryna Moroz withdrew due to injury, and Angela Hill can’t compete in the UFC for another four months as she re-enters the USADA testing pool. Meanwhile, a heavyweight rematch between Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum is now off after the Nevada Athletic Commission declared Velasquez medically unfit to compete.
With two main card bouts scrapped, two prelim bouts have been promoted to the PPV broadcast. The card now kicks off with a flyweight bout between Ray Borg and Louis Smolka, then continues with a welterweight matchup between Dong Hyun Kim and Tarec Saffiedine. Smack dab in the middle of the PPV is a big bantamweight showdown, as former champion T.J. Dillashaw battles John Lineker. Topping UFC 207 are the women’s and men’s bantamweight title fights, as champion Amanda Nunes faces Ronda Rousey in the main event, while champion Dominick Cruz takes on Cody Garbrandt in the co-main.
