The UFC’s first show in Las Vegas this year is a highly intriguing pay-per-view event at the T-Mobile Arena on Saturday, March 4th. Topping UFC 209 is a welterweight title fight rematch between champion Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson. Their first bout at UFC 205 ended in a majority draw in a thrilling back-and-forth fight. Your co-main event is for the interim lightweight strap, as Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov finally square off in a matchup of two of the best 155ers in the sport.
Also on the main card is the middleweight debut of former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans, who will be taking on Australian judoka Daniel Kelly. Exciting lightweight prospect Lando Vannata, who nearly KO’d Ferguson last July, will face TUF 22’s David Teymur. Opening the PPV broadcast is a heavyweight rematch between Mark Hunt and Alistair Overeem, who submitted Hunt in 2008 back in the days of DREAM.
