UFC 210 set for April 8th in Buffalo, New York

The UFC is headed to Buffalo, New York for an April 8th pay-per-view card.

With MMA now legalized in New York, the UFC has wasted no time staging pay-per-view events in the Empire State. During last night’s UFC Fight Night 103 broadcast, it was revealed that UFC 210 is set for April 8th at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo. The arena is home to the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres and seats as many as 19,000 people.

UFC 210 will mark the promotion’s first trip to that city since UFC 7 in September 1995. The card was headlined by Ken Shamrock’s draw with Oleg Taktarov. MMA would later be banned in New York from 1997 up until last year.

So far, the UFC has held two shows in New York — UFC 205: Alvarez vs. McGregor at Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden last November, and UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Abdurakhimov in Albany last month. UFC 208: Holm vs. de Randamie is already set for the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday, February 11th.

No fights have been announced for this event, although it looks like the commentary team for UFC 210 will be a three-man team of Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and Daniel Cormier.
